Race DayI had a wonderful, busy Saturday with these two lovelies at Wyong Races and Florida Beach Bar. First full day out in ages and worth the wait, even if I did have to put aside piles of marking and report writing. Promise I'll catch up before Monday! Crave Sushi: an interesting Japanese café where the drinks are either BYO or self serve from inside- a bit annoying when you're seated outside. Staff are friendly and the food was descent but not very individual. Still, a nice place to visit if you're in the area but not my first choice. In Other News...Mum and I have started our Summer walks in the morning, along with crazy Jake who likes to walk diagonally some days. We see some pretty sights around Wyong and some amazing wildlife on our early morning treks. The lovely Mel A. and I have been pencilled in to work in the Haringey area when we arrive (separately) in London, North London for those who are as educated as I :) The count down is getting less and less each time I look at it. Can't wait until I hit that airport. Check out my 'More Photographs' tab for some extra race day pictures.

And so it begins... With the help of my new toy (a Windows Surface Pro- so shiny!) and the advice of a friend I've started something that, hopefully, will last as long as my travels do. 2016February 3rd-8th2016 is going to be a big year. I'm excited to say that Steph and I will be spending a week in Adelaide in February. We get to meet up with some new friends, old friends and one very neglected Aunt et al. If anyone is around, we have a few spare days to catch up if you're available. Any suggestions for must-do's while we are visiting are most welcome. I have heard Adelaide has a few nice wineries, though... MarchLondon CallingFor those who weren't aware, I've signed on with Vision Teaching, a London-based teaching agency for at least nine months (nothing suss, I swear). I leave mid March- just after Grandma's 92nd birthday, as requested, and will book a flight back in time for the 2016 Young Christmas, or as close to as possible. I'm lucky enough to be meeting a work friend over there, along with a number of other teachers and friends I've met from all over the world and Australia. I'll admit I'm a little nervous but I'm more worried about having to empty out my bedroom so the fam-bam can use it for visitors while I'm gone. My poor cupboard is going to have to go through a major cleanse between now and then as well. Room For Rent: Spare bedroom available from March 2016 onwards if anyone is interested in visiting the Biv household. I'll even leave you a couple of drawers. I'm sure they'll want someone to make the house a little noisier while I'm gone! I'm super excited to get started but first things first, the application process. It'll be interesting to say the least, police checks, CV's, references, biometric exams and trips to Sydney. I still have to go through my secondary phone interview but I'm, doing a lot of positive thinking. I know March will be here before I know it. |
AuthorMy home is Australia, with my family and their many, many animals. I have travelled all around the world with my family and by myself where I have made too many friends to count. |
