It is widely acknowledged that the majority of the year, most English confine themselves their wet, rainy, dreary native habitat. There are those who migrate to warmer climates, usually adolescents but the majority, particularly over the age of forty, remain a part of the environment in which they were born. What most Australians might not know, however is that, during the summer months, the English forgo their natural aversion to sunlight and fresh air and take up a new, temporary habitat. I was lucky enough to find one such habitat and some of these seasonal migratory natives on a walk today out in Epping Forest- which is more long grass than trees, but that is fine too. It would seem that whilst some can bear the sunlight only for so long, there are those brave few who set up temporary accommodation in their new habitat. I have to assume that inside these dwellings there are all the comforts of an English Home; tea, biscuits, cakes etc. Location is not the only change that these English go through during the summer months. It would seem that they shed their usual buttoned up outer clothes for the more revealing 'swim wear'. Considering the lack of accessible water in the immediate area, I have to assume that this is to better soak up the suns rays, similar to a reptile so that once they return to their cooler natural habitat, they can maintain warmth in their bodies regardless of the outside temperatures. I must also assume that the skin of these particular species of English is reinforced with some kind anti-bug chemical that repels the many crawly things that like to bite, scratch and generally jump on me to make me squeal while exploring. WARNING: If walking in an area that is potentially one of these temporary habitats, please be wary of where you step. Migratory English could be lying anywhere within the tall grasses and like the many snakes of Australia, they dislike it when you step on them, intentionally or not. Look carefully at the following images and you will find examples of young families, couples and individuals of all ages participating in this reptilian-like sun baking within the grass. Summer LoveHere we have an example of a typical English courting ceremony in the summer period. Note the appropriate distance between the couple sitting on the official 'courting log' alongside a main pathway.
From my observations, a young couple comes to the grasslands to meet in public to avoid any potential indiscretions and can be seen walking the paths of the forest together. This not only lets any other interested parties know that they are currently taken, but provides ample opportunities selfies and the use of snapchat filters.

- We took a Louvre tour- 3 hours long and boy was it looooooong. I can see how people can visit numerous times and never see the entire thing. Still, we managed to catch the highlights and we learnt things we definitely wouldn't have known if we had gone on our own.
- People were going crazy by the Mona Lisa and I may have gotten into a small argument with a rather large man when he tried to crush me whilst taking a selfie with his whole obnoxious family. It was a nice picture, though, I guess...
- We had a long wine soaked lunch to recover from the Louvre then headed towards the airport.
- It was a good thing Nessa's check in took a while because we both managed not to cry when I had to leave her at the check in desk to get ready for my train trip. A quick, short exit and we were done.
I miss her more than anything now that she isn't with me over here any more and it makes me miss everyone else at home as well. I know I only enjoyed my holidays so much because she was there to share the ups and downs of it with me. Having had her over here makes me look forward to coming home to visit in OCTOBER that much more! I am counting down the days.
I miss you all, love you lots and will see you soon! xxx

My home is Australia, with my family and their many, many animals. I have travelled all around the world with my family and by myself where I have made too many friends to count.
I have decided it is time to make the move and in March, 2016 I fly/have flown to London to take up teaching the British.
I plan on having a ridiculous number of adventures while I am over there and while I know my family and friends will miss me (and I, them) I also know I have a million people supporting me back home in whatever I do.
This little blog is a way to share my adventures with everyone at home, log my wonderful memories and share my stories.
